Your privacy matters

This policy explains what Clear It collects, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

Who we are

Clear It is provided by Clearly Simple Works. Clear It helps caregivers or family members create reminders for recipients and see whether those reminders were acknowledged, overdue, or missed.

Clear It is not an emergency service, medical-monitoring service, medical device, or proof that a task was completed.

Information we collect

We may collect:

Caregiver information, including name, email address, and phone number.
Recipient information, including preferred name and phone number.
Reminder information, including text, images, schedules, importance, linked actions, status, and response times.
Account, pairing, device, and notification information, including an anonymous recipient-device identity, pairing records, installation identifiers, and push-notification tokens.
Subscription information, including the selected plan, product identifier, entitlement status, purchase and renewal dates, expiration, grace-period, cancellation, and related transaction identifiers. Apple processes payment credentials; Clear It does not receive your full payment-card information.
Support information you choose to send, including contact details, messages, and optional screenshots.
Limited operational, authentication, and security records needed to run and protect the service.

How we use information

We use information to:

Provide caregiver accounts, recipient pairing, reminders, acknowledgements, and follow-up features.
Deliver generic notifications and maintain a limited offline reminder experience on the recipient device.
Offer, verify, restore, and manage subscription access and recipient limits.
Respond to support, privacy, security, and deletion requests.
Protect accounts, investigate errors or misuse, and meet legal obligations.

Sensitive reminder content

Reminder text, linked actions, and images are entered by users and may contain health-related or other sensitive information. Only include information needed for the reminder.

Clear It does not treat this content as a medical record and does not verify medication use, appointments, or task completion.

Calls, texts, maps, and websites

Clear It can open your phone, messaging, maps, or browser app when you choose a linked action. A caregiver may optionally choose a contact or place while creating a linked action.

Clear It saves only the selected name, phone number, place, or address needed for that reminder. It does not upload the full contact list or read call history, call content, text messages, or map history.

How information is shared

Reminder details and response information are shared between the paired caregiver and recipient as needed to provide Clear It.

Service providers include:

Supabase for authentication, database services, private image storage, server functions, and operational logging.
Google Firebase and Google Cloud for notification delivery and infrastructure.
Apple for app distribution, purchases, subscriptions, and iOS notifications.
RevenueCat for subscription entitlements, purchase status, and subscription management.

These providers may process information only to deliver those services and are required to protect it.

Clear It does not sell personal information and does not use advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.

Notifications and offline storage

Lock-screen notification content is generic. Apple, Google, Firebase, internet connections, Focus modes, battery settings, and device permissions may delay or suppress delivery.

A recipient device stores a limited offline cache of the current reminder and may queue a Done acknowledgement until it can reconnect.

Retention

Clear It generally retains information according to the following schedule:

Today: reminders scheduled for the current day.
Overdue or Missed: 24 hours, then moved to Archived.
Archived: 90 days, then permanently removed.
History: 180 days, then permanently removed.
Support tickets: two years after closure.
Support screenshots: 90 days after closure.
Security and authentication logs: generally up to 12 months.
Encrypted rolling backups: up to 35 days before overwrite.

A verified deletion request overrides ordinary product retention. Limited records may be retained only when needed for security, compliance, financial, or legal obligations.

Your choices and deletion rights

You may:

Disconnect a recipient device to revoke that device’s connection and notification access while preserving the recipient relationship.
Delete a recipient to remove the relationship and associated reminders, images, history, pairing information, device identity, and notification records.
Delete a caregiver account in the app to remove the caregiver profile, recipients, reminder information, images, pairing records, device identities, and notification records.
Contact us to ask about your information or submit a privacy or deletion request.

Deleted account data becomes inaccessible immediately. Primary-system deletion is targeted within seven days and completed within 30 days. Encrypted backups expire through their normal overwrite cycle.

Deleting a Clear It account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Subscriptions must be managed or canceled separately through the user’s Apple account settings.

Security and international processing

Clear It uses access controls, private storage, encrypted network connections, and restricted backend operations to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Service providers may process information in the United States or other locations where they operate, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Clear It, our providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when a material change requires it.
